A work training course in communication skills used the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator as its basis. I therefore had the opportunity to undertake the personality test and came out as an ENFP:
Extraversion (vs introversion)
Intuition (vs sensing)
Feeling (vs thinking)
Perceiving (vs judging)
You know how when you read your horoscope, you think, yeah that could apply to me (but really it could apply to anyone); well this is more than that. This is so me!
I’ve been tagged by Loudah, so here goes:
1. I am an extrovert. Reading Stickfly’s post about introverts and extroverts, it confirmed it even more for me. I enjoy meeting new people and am often the last to finish my meal from talking too much. During shared meals with a group, the lovely Benjamin often keeps food aside for me so I don’t miss out when I finally finish going blah blah blah.
A colleague even said to me the other day how I need to get out of my cage (ie. my office) at work for a bit of people contact. Hence why, contrary to most people’s feelings, I actually enjoy meetings! (Wow, I get a change of room, interaction with human beans rather than the introvert computer.)
2. I used to have an obsession with the colour purple; now I like green. I still like purple, but now I love green too. Green fits in well with the whole environment theme as well. Go Green(s)!
3. I love sweet food. That’s why with cooking, I enjoy baking desserts the best.
4. I am my mother’s daughter. I sometimes have a similar laugh to her, the way I stand is the same as her, I say the things she does, we’re both positive people. We smile, we laugh, we cry and sometimes get very sentimental; often about our mothers. (“Women become like their mothers, that is their failing; men do not, and that is theirs.”)
5. I was born in Brisbane. However, out of the last 8 years, this is the first year I have lived in my home town on an ongoing basis. (I’ve been told I’m getting a bit “settled” cause I’ve been here a year now!!)

1. When I was young I named my teddy bears after my friends. I still hug my favourite teddy Melissa Mouse to this day at night time. Strangely though I don’t really like the name Melissa as I’m sometimes called that by mistake.
2. The first time I saw a dead person was last year in India. I saw about three.
3. While driving my Mum’s car once I almost hit the car in front waiting at traffic lights while pashing Benjamin.
4. My favourite number is 5, but I don’t like writing it.
5. I would love to have lessons in flamenco dancing and surfing, and learn more about photography and writing poetry.
6. I like the smell of my own farts.
7. I have a small scar under my chin from having stitches whenI hit my chin on the edge of a swimming pool when I was about 4 years old.
8. I have been bitten by a blue bottle and a tick, and chased by a baboon and a white rhino.
