Yesterday I read that 50% of the world’s population has never used a phone. Makes ya think.

Don’t assume that the other person waiting at the bus stop will hail the bus – it is likely that the bus will go past without stopping.

Without a car, I don’t join the many conversations about how bad the traffic is.

Because I rarely watch TV, I can’t join the lengthy discussions on which character is doing what on TV programs.

I wonder what people would choose to talk about if these things didn’t concern them?

Have they ever wondered what they would do or what they could achieve if these things didn’t fill so much of their daily schedule?

You know you’re getting old(er) when… 15 August, 2007

  • catching a bus, you don’t automaticlly head straight for the back seat
  • on a roller coaster, instead of enjoying it, you get scared wondering if the guy running it has an engineering degree
  • kids tell you you’re from “the olden days” because you didn’t have a computer when you were young
  • you think being out till midnight is a late one
  • you’re tired at the end of the week and are looking forward to the weekend to recover; instead of being tired at the beginning of the week, recovering from the weekend
  • you actually want to get up at 7am (to “get things done”) instead of sleeping in till 11am
  • you can only eat 2 tim tams in one sitting instead of 6
  • there is atually a time when you don’t feel like eating lollies or chocolate
  • the thought of working on your feet all day at Coles and then clubbing till 2am is unbearable
  • you realise that adults don’t know everything
  • you realise you’re (supposed to be) an adult
  • eating pizza, you crave beer instead of coke
